I've done that too.

How to teleport your follower to you in Skyrim

If they were simply just hung up somewhere and not able to keep up with you, just teleporting to another place should bring them right to you. But as far as console commands though, that's out of my league.

I'm sure there must be a command you can use and someone will provide it.

That's the thing, I've recently just started playing for the first time in a few months and i can't remember where they are lol i would be grateful if anyone could help me with this :. Graphcalibur View Profile View Posts. You'llneed to find the refid for the npc who is your folllower.

So I assumed she had died, even though I really don't think she did. So then I had Benor following me, and now the same thing has happened. I think I might have told them to wait somewhere, but I can't remember where I told them to wait. Is there any way I can locate them? You can also try fast traveling to another location, your follower should follow you even if they are not in the surrounding area.

Finally you could try waiting a couple of days and head back to where you originally found your companion, you may find him sleeping in his bed or just staying there. If none of that works, he may have been killed, you could resurrect any companion, but I doubt it will come back with your items. For extra advice try to save often and with different saves. If you use the wait command for a few days default T on PC then eventually "Your follower tires of waiting and leaves".

Then all you have to do is go back to where you originally got them to follow you, and they'll be there. Sign up to join this community. The best answers are voted up and rise to the top. Followers' level and skills are determined by the player's level at the time of their first encounter. It is unclear whether this is a bug or intended. On the PC, a follower can be 'updated' to the player's current level by dismissing them, opening the console, clicking on the follower and using the 'disable' and 'enable' commands no quotes, hit Enter after each.

It only takes a minute to sign up. I had parked my follower at an inn with a bunch of valuable items that I didn't want to carry. I guess I have been out a bit too long as this message appears:.

Skyrim:Followers

They're dead. If you want your stuff, you'll want to find where they died. If she was with you up to just recently, backtracking shouldn't be too difficult. They bugged out. This one's pretty easy to resolve: enter a new area or fast travel somewhere.

They'll be right behind you. They went home. This is what the message refers to. Return to where you picked them up originally: in the case of Lydia, that means Breezehome if you've purchased it or Dragonsreach in Whiterun. They get lost a lot so I do this a lot.

I just memorize the RefID. NOTE: if you resurrect them it will remove all their inventory! If they had items, it's better to go to a previous save where they have not died! NOTE: If you press the up-arrow on your keyboard it goes to commands you typed previously.

However, when you close the game then your command history is erased. Followers will wait for you up to 3 days at the location you instructed them to. Once your 3 days are up, you'll get the "Your follower tires of waiting and leaves" messagethey will return to the location you initially "hired" them from. In case of Housecarlslike Lydia, they will either return to the keep in their respective cities, or your home in said city assuming you purchased one. Friends that become your companions return to their hometown and continue their daily NPC cycle.

It seems that the follower simply goes home where you can recruit them again. The follower still has all items. If you use mods, it seems possible for the follower to end up in other places.

After searching for hours I once found Lydia in jail by finally using console command to teleport to her. If you're playing on the PC, try teleporting your follower to your location through console commands. This is easier and faster no loading screens than going to your follower's location and getting him or her to follow you again.

However, this method won't be useful in your situation as the follower is not near your vicinity, and can't be clicked on.

Your follower should now be near you after doing this.Various NPCs and creatures can follow you while you're playing the game and be your ally. These followers can fight by your side; some can also carry your equipment and perform other tasks. Followers can be divided into those who follow you indefinitely until they die or are dismissedand those who follow you temporarily for example, during a quest.

Permanent followers usually become available after you complete a quest of some kind. You can also find mercenaries for hire in the cities and recruit certain creatures in the game. You can have at most one permanent NPC follower and one creature follower at any time. Some NPCs follow you temporarily for the duration of a quest.

If you avoid completing the quest and go somewhere else, they may follow you around. As many of these NPCs are unkillable, and you can have several followers at the same time, you can use them to fight difficult enemies in a different questline. There is no limit to the number of such temporary followers that you can have at one time. Most quest followers will follow you additionally to any permanent follower.

However, there are a few exceptions: The followers in the Companions questline will automatically dismiss your current follower, and Serana will require you to dismiss them in order for her to join you on a quest except for her first one.

In such cases, potential permanent followers will say that you already have a follower and be unable to join you, as the quest follower occupies the follower slot. The slot can be freed again simply by completing the quest so that your temporary quest follower leaves your service.

You can interact with permanent followers by talking with them outside of combat. You will then be able to exchange items with them, or give a command, depending on their abilities. Also, followers can use a torch only one is needed, it will never deplete. Temporary, quest-specific followers usually do not take orders; if they do, they will only take limited orders, like the "wait" command.

If your follower is left to wait for a long time, a message will appear that the follower has grown tired of waiting and will start walking to their originating location. You can trade items with some of your followers to equip them with better items or store excess loot.

Sometimes, they will refuse to equip the items you give them. Pickpocketing the items you wish them to replace with the improved items can help fix this.

It can also allow you to do this with NPCs who will not trade their equipped items with you.The following page is dedicated to creating custom followers via console commandsas well as a list of potential characters for the conversion.

Showing 1 - 7 of 7 comments. This is part of Update. There was an issue where they got permanently stuck in Shalidor's Maze and Broken Oar Grotto and were lost forever, even if you made them Wait and then chilled for a week somewhere else. You got the message "Your follower gets tired of waiting and heads home. Hence, Update included a "warp to player" script that means you never lose them.

However, a side effect is that when you're kicked out of Volkihar Castle for refusing Harkon's "gift", the first follower you obtained will warp to the boat ramp, even if you've previously left them somewhere else i. Waiting at Home. Not sure if that happens if you've actually Dismissed them, though. Have to try that. I always get Jenassa first, since there's no quest involved, and by the time I take Serana home, Jenassa's chilling in my house UFO "Relax for a while" command.

As soon as Harkon gives me the magic boot to the boat ramp, she appears, tells me we're one and the same kind, then proceeds to walk back to Whiterun, so I have to make her Follow me again from that point. Dr What you're describing seems to be unique to your game and UFO.

My first follower this game was Faendal who has remained at Lakeview Manor where he's employed as my steward - didn't even show up for my wedding he's so reliable. I've had several followers meanwhile, the latest being Rayya someone has to carry my extra stuff who has been outside waiting in all the appropriate locations. None of the interim followers which have since been dismissed have ever shown up anywhere other than where I've left them. It has only ever been my current follower. Kinzuko View Profile View Posts.
